The central Office of the Registrar is responsible for compliance, transcript management, degree and enrollment verification for students and alumni, administering the residency policy, degree conferrals, and academic data reporting. We strive for excellence in all our endeavors, constantly challenging ourselves to be as efficient and effective as possible. We seek out new and better ways of doing business for the benefit of ourselves and the community we serve.
Residency Petitions
The deadline to submit a Fall 2025 petition is August 29, 2025. The Office of the Registrar will begin accepting residency petitions for Winter 2026 beginning November 10, 2025, through January 2, 2026. For more information on submission for future semesters, see Petition Submission Deadlines.
Graduation
The Graduation Application for Fall 2025 graduation is currently open in SURFS. The deadline to apply for Fall 2025 graduation is September 19, 2025.
All new incoming students default to out-of-state, non-resident. If you wish to be considered for in-state residency status, you must apply for in-state status.
